This Privacy Notice explains how personal information is processed when someone visits the SC Spheres public website, submits a trial request, uses the website chat, contacts SC Spheres, or interacts with website analytics and embedded website content.
SC Technology (Pty) Ltd owns, develops, administers and maintains SC Spheres. SC Spheres (UK) Ltd and Greenfields Data Solutions (Pty) Ltd may process website visitor, enquiry and prospective client information in connection with SC Spheres licensing, client communication and support in their respective territories.
The SC Spheres website may process the following information:
Website access logs are processed to operate and secure the website, diagnose technical issues, detect abuse, investigate security events and protect the website and SC Spheres services. These logs may also be summarised into internal aggregate website usage reports, such as page-view, referrer, campaign and error summaries. Trial, contact and enquiry information is processed to respond to requests, communicate with prospective and existing clients, and administer SC Spheres business relationships. Website chat messages are processed to respond to website visitor questions about SC Spheres. Google Analytics information is processed only where the visitor has accepted analytics and is used to understand and improve the website.
The website stores a local browser preference recording whether the visitor accepted or rejected analytics. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are not loaded unless the visitor selects Accept analytics. A visitor can change this choice using the Cookie preferences link in the website footer.
Website access logs may include IP addresses and other request metadata. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, technical diagnostics, incident investigation and internal aggregate website usage reporting. Aggregate reports do not include raw IP addresses, full user-agent strings or raw query strings. Access to raw logs is restricted to authorised personnel and logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or where a longer period is required for a security incident, legal obligation or dispute.
The website uses selected service providers to host, secure and analyse the website and to support enquiries. These providers may process personal information in South Africa, the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States or other countries where they or their sub-processors operate. The website-specific providers are listed on the website sub-processors page.
Privacy and data-subject requests relating to website visitor, prospective client or enquiry information may be sent to support@scspheres.com.
